Program Description

The Northwest Youth Corps International Volunteer Program is a wonderful, fun and safe way to learn conservation skills, make a real-life contribution to the environment and to travel abroad, explore the natural beauty of the northwest, experience a new culture, practice English, and meet youth from the United States and from around the world.

We invite you to join us for this conservation experience of a lifetime!

Northwest Youth Corps (NYC) offers young adults a team-based experience where you learn by doing! Whether its trail restoration and maintenance, environmental education, invasive species eradication, or similar activities, the conservation skills taught, practiced, and learned will be with you for a lifetime. NYC organizes the 5-week sessions, the projects you work on, and provides all food, accommodation, supervision, instruction, and recreational activities.

Experience International (EI) is a non-profit educational organization that promotes leadership development, and technical and cultural exchange in fields related to agriculture and natural resource management and conservation. Through it's US State Department designated J-1 Exchange Visitor Program, EI organizes the application process, selection of participants, visas, insurance, and helps with the overall training and work experience.
